Thinkering about: Healing

Hot take:
Healing is not forever

Cycles repeat
We are not finished pieces
But a living organism experiencing constant shifts
Talking about the good or the bad feels like an overgeneralisation, the truth is life can be thrilling, boring, challenging, easy, smooth, lumpy, cozy, spooky and so much more at times (sometime even experiencing more than one of these at the same moment)
All these shifts, ebbs and flows changes our experience of life, our perception of our own wounds
Because life has these almost predictable seasons, and even thought we work really hard on "healing" a wound. The reality is that scars are left, tender flesh is left, even tho it may seem as if a wound totally healed on the surface there might be scar tissue inside, life after a life marking event is not the same and that's fine, humans are resilient, wounds don't always make us miserable or less able to enjoy life, sometimes they just make us wiser or if we are lucky even more compassionate and full of love.
Life happens, we navigate it with the grace we allow ourselves at the time. Sometimes very gracefully others less gracefully.
All this to say, I struggle with the word "healing" I do my best to avoid it but in my "industry" sometimes I have to use it.
Healing is beautiful don't get me wrong, the concept, the word itself but what I struggle with is the connotation of finality. "Healing" is not final, and that's fine you know, that doesn't mean you constantly have to improve yourself, nor it means you should just give up.
Healing to me is living in awareness of our pains and joys and the pains and joys we cause. How deep you want to go (or not) is up to you.
I suppose this is the part of the post where I "should" remind you I'm here if you need any support in your journey. But more than that I want to reiterate, those days when you might feel a bit overwhelm because "you are not healed enough" those are the days you too should remember how far have you come already, that even the days where perhaps you doing your best doesn't feel "good enough" you are enough, you are worthy of love and peace. This is a wave, and you are the whole ocean.
Thank you for reading,
Un abrazo
