Do not let perfect be the enemy of good.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Not only because perfection is not real but because good is enough.

Perfectionism can be like...

Waiting for the perfect day

The perfect set of skills

The perfect amount of training

The perfect opportunity

Waiting until you feel "perfectly" ready…

There is truth in listening to our instincts.

But even our instincts are aware that perfection is not real.

Generally when we wait for perfection to knock on our doors we are being guided not my the power of our intuition but the toxicity of our fear.

Perfection is the enemy of good.

A good life

A good mental health

A good big picture

So don't let perfection to become the enemy of good.

You don’t need to wait for perfect my friend, you also don’t have to do anything right now.

Many people come to my mind. Friends, family, even past versions of myself. Waiting and waiting... for this idea of perfect inside us, expectations planted like weeds that stopped any action because the timing/day/mood/outfit/plan wasn't perfect enough....

And we forgot that good enough is good.

Looking back at my own past and this battle of waiting for perfect I think to myself, what a shame.

But hey everything happens for a reason.

Now I have the learnings.

Now I know that seeking for perfect could be stopping me from goodness.

Now, I want to make something clear:

You also can continue to do your best.

To work work work work work ... hard.

To do your best.

But you do not have to seek for perfect.

Remember:

Sometimes in seeking perfection (or waiting for it) we stop ourselves from achieving good.

My wish for you today (and always) is to release fear and embrace compassion.

To erase this idea of perfection as much as posible and paint and colours of hope.

To listen, tap and trust your instinct, your gut, that tiny but wise voice inside you that we both know will lead to good things one way or the other.

Thank you for reading

Wishing you a good rest of your day

Un abrazo.

🤍 remember to join my waiting list to explore working together next time I open my diary 🤍
